WordPress 5.0 is on its way and rumour has it that it will include a new editor called Gutenberg a new way to WordPress. So far so good: I installed the beta plugin, fired up a new post, wrote the title and a first paragraph.

 

I like the way the Preview and Publish controls have been moved into a top bar. I also like the ‘More Options’ three dots at the side of each paragraph. I really like the content structure information.

 

I can see what they’re aiming at here. I have two concerns.

 

1. How will my clients cope with this change?
2. How will this new editor interact with the Elementor page builder?
